Our counsellors are all qualified to at least Diploma level, with some working towards full accreditation. All our counsellors are police checked, insured, and most are members of BACP. They are rigorously selected and monitored by our Counselling Coordinator, and they also have external professional supervision.
What does counselling involve?
Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk about issues affecting your life in a safe and confidential environment; it is a way of enabling choice or change or of reducing confusion. It does not involve giving advice or direction to take a particular course of action.
At your first session you will meet your counsellor to discuss how they can help and then propose a way forward. Your counsellor can provide you with sessions which will be on a weekly basis.
The service is offered at an affordable price, £10 per session with a minimum expectation of six sessions. All sessions must be paid for in advance. Please note that there is a waiting list for this service, but you will be advised of how long you may have to wait.
